Everybody has mental health, just like everybody has physical health. Right now, we have an illness-first approach to mental health–we wait until an illness strikes before taking steps to improve or even talk about our mental health (if we talk about it even then). That needs to change and part of bringing about the change requires us to talk more openly about mental health. We all experience anxiety. Everyday we’re making healthy or unhealthy decisions that contribute to or detract from our mental health.
